Evolving with consumer demand

Changing times call for a changing strategy, according to leading Queenstown property services company, Colliers International. 1st September 2019 saw the firm exit their Shotover Street premises, consolidating the 60-strong team into their recently-expanded Athol Street premises.

“Colliers International is globally renowned for our research; in-depth analysis of the evolving retail market has given us insight into the factors underpinning the success of the town centre as a destination for direct retail and tourism offerings. As part of an industry providing professional services, we’re confident that the natural progression for a real estate business is to move further into the online space – we know that 90% of property searches start online, so we’re moving our business model to one which works better for our customers,” says Managing Partner, Alastair Wood.

The company will retain their expanded premises on the first and second floor of their Athol Street offices, in a location long associated with real estate, whilst also implementing additional layers to their client marketing mix. “Adaptability is one of the elements which set us apart. We’re a flexible, locally-owned business with the backing of a strong globally-recognised brand, enabling us to keep at the forefront of international industry developments,” says Wood.

The last two years have seen the company experience unparalleled growth through expansion of existing business units and a 2017 merge with leading independent firm, hoamz. Additional Sales consultants are being recruited to cope with the growth of the residential and commercial agency businesses.
